Le conseil d'administration de WESTAF se r\u00e9unit \u00e0 Denver\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Members of WESTAF\u2019s board of trustees met October 23-24 in Denver. The meeting opened with a dinner at the historic Brown Palace Hotel that all WESTAF staff were invited to attend in order to build and deepen authentic relationships <\/span>between trustees and staff. The meeting also <\/span>included a gallery session, a \u201cscience fair\u201d-style gathering designed to strengthen trustee and staff connections as we move ahead with our 10-year strategic plan<\/a><\/span>. <\/span>During the hour-long session, trustees visited six separate tables representing WESTAF\u2019s departments and divisions, where they learned about each team\u2019s work priorities in a fun and friendly way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Comit\u00e9 consultatif multiculturel pour la transition vers le Comit\u00e9 d'\u00e9quit\u00e9 et d'inclusion<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Un autre \u00e9l\u00e9ment unique de la r\u00e9union du conseil d'administration d'octobre a \u00e9t\u00e9 un aper\u00e7u et une reconnaissance du travail du Comit\u00e9 consultatif multiculturel de WESTAF au cours des 20 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. La pr\u00e9sidente du comit\u00e9 et vice-pr\u00e9sidente du conseil d'administration, Teniqua Broughton, a orient\u00e9 les administrateurs vers plusieurs \u00e9tapes importantes du parcours de diversit\u00e9, d'inclusion et d'\u00e9quit\u00e9 de WESTAF. Les membres du comit\u00e9 Lucero Arellano, Tamara Alvarado, Teniqua Broughton, SuJ'n Chon, Tony Garcia, Eric Hayashi, Kimberly Howard, Amir Jackson, Aaron Miles et Tey Marianna Nunn ont d\u00e9fendu ces avanc\u00e9es et servent d'ambassadeurs importants des efforts de WESTAF pour cr\u00e9er un domaine des arts et de la culture plus \u00e9quitable. GO Smart s'associe \u00e0 South Arts pour le programme Jazz Road<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

In early 2019, GO Smart partnered with WESTAF\u2019s sister regional arts organization South Arts as it began its inaugural Jazz Road<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>program. Jazz Road facilitates support to American touring musicians, specifically in the jazz genre. GO Smart services were offered free of charge to South Arts to administer the grant application, run a panel review, and collect final reports. Thirty-one artists<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>were granted nearly $360,000 in the initial round of funding, with the next cycle of touring support as well as a new initiative supporting residencies launching in early 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

WESTAF\u2019s Alliances team is working on the launch of the fiscal year 2020 State Advocacy Funds program in the coming weeks and is planning the upcoming Executive Director Forum, which will take place this January in Reno. <\/span>Each state in the <\/span>WESTAF <\/span>region is eligible to receive funds to support annual state-level advocacy activities. WESTAF also convenes the executive directors of the state arts agencies in the West through a forum each year to discuss issues in the field, share knowledge and practice, and consider ways to increase support for these agencies. <\/span>Also in the works is a strategy for supporting federal advocacy activities in 2020, which will soon be announced to partners in western states.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CaF\u00c9 lance des plans tarifaires simplifi\u00e9s<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

CaF\u00c9, WESTAF\u2019s <\/span>call for entry application management program for the arts, <\/span>recently released two simple pricing plans<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>along with new add-on services, making it <\/span>even more budget-friendly for small and large arts organizations. CaF\u00c9\u2019s promotional email service continues to grow in popularity\u2014the add-on service sends an email to artists on behalf of the participating call, reaching an <\/span>audience of over 190,000 artists. Call administrators can <\/span>choose the region and art discipline of the email recipients, and pricing for this service starts at just $100.<\/span><\/p>\n
