Reuni\u00f3n del Comit\u00e9 Asesor Multicultural en Seattle<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

WESTAF\u2019s Multicultural Advisory Committee (MAC) had a productive meeting in Seattle April 16-17. The Committee was joined by Washington-based WESTAF trustees as well as cultural leaders from various Seattle-based organizations, including LANGSTONES<\/a><\/span>, el Seattle Office of Arts and Culture<\/a><\/span>, and the <\/span><\/p>\n

Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0The conversation focused on the importance and impact of a sustained investment in racial and social justice work and the need for cultural organizations rooted in community to inform responses to displacement, economic opportunity, and organizational capacity and longevity. WESTAF Board Chair Erin Graham also facilitated a workshop with the MAC members to devise strategies for realizing specific goals in the strategic plan related to leadership, equity, and collaboration with state arts agencies. The Committee\u2019s next meeting will take place in November or December and will focus on <\/span>rural communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

WESTAF en la Convenci\u00f3n de Americans for the Arts en las Twin Cities<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

WESTAF staff will be attending the Americans for the Arts Convention June 13-16 in Minneapolis. We invite you to stop by our table and say hello! WESTAF en la Cumbre de Generaciones Rurales<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

WESTAF ha recibido apoyo para viajes del National Endowment for the Arts para invitar a l\u00edderes regionales de las artes a la Cumbre de la Generaci\u00f3n Rural en Jackson, Mississippi, del 22 al 24 de mayo. \u00a1Celebramos la temporada n\u00famero 25 del TourWest!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The 2019-2020 operating year marks the 25th season for TourWest, a touring and arts presenting program of WESTAF. This year, 298 applications were submitted for panel review. The panel is composed of seven performing arts leaders from the West who are familiar with nonprofit presenting as well as the goals of the TourWest program to build audiences, strengthen community engagement, and tour high quality performing arts throughout the 13 western states. This year, the panel is chaired by Arts Northwest<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Executive Director Sam Calhoun. The in-person panel will convene in Denver May 13-15, 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Archivo de Arte P\u00fablico: Nueva interfaz y b\u00fasqueda por facetas\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

PAA recently completed <\/span>a new front-end interface and more streamlined search and explore functionality. The team is also busy onboarding the public art collections of early adopters of its new Collection Management System. The system was developed in partnership with CollectionSpace specifically for the management of public art collections.<\/span><\/p>\n

Plan de estudios de Creative Vitality\u2122 Suite en desarrollo<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

CVSuite\u2122 est\u00e1 a mitad de camino del desarrollo de un plan de estudios sobre datos de la econom\u00eda creativa.
