\u00a1Han sido unas semanas emocionantes! Hubo mucha actividad, pero aqu\u00ed se muestran algunos de los puntos destacados: <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a1Lanzamiento del Plan Estrat\u00e9gico!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

On Wednesday 5\/29 and Thursday 5\/30, the WESTAF team formally launched their Ten Year Vision and Strategic Plan! This consisted of a \u201cStratPlan Faire,\u201d which included training around this Agenda<\/a><\/span>, and focusing in on this Strategic Plan Cohort FAQ<\/span><\/a><\/span>. Each i<\/span>ndividual cohort<\/span><\/a> <\/span>split up into their group together for the first time to self-organize and also to review a preliminary Scoping Document (in this case, the Thought Leadership & Reach\/Communications Scoping Doc<\/span><\/a>)<\/span>, and to ultimately develop their own. However, the real highlight of the two-day session was valuable coaching and group development and leadership time spent with Val Atkin<\/span><\/a><\/span>, who dived into some warmly received and immensely helpful Enneagram work as well as some other discussions and team exercises around concepts like \u201c100% Responsibility,\u201d \u201cThe Cost of Quiet,\u201d \u201cTeam Optimization,\u201d and \u201cAbove\/Below The Line\u201d<\/span><\/a> <\/span>work. At the conclusion of the agenda and this invaluable team-building time, we celebrated the launch of this ten-year plan with happy hour at a local restaurant and an \u201cofficial\u201d fun ribbon-cutting moment<\/span><\/a><\/span>! <\/span>(If you only look at one link, look at this one!)<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/i><\/b>El 30 de mayo de 2019 se lanz\u00f3 oficialmente el Plan Estrat\u00e9gico de WESTAF (\u00a1guau!). Progreso del BAR CAT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

El equipo de liderazgo ha compilado descripciones de trabajo actualizadas para sus equipos en el nuevo modelo BAR CAT y trabajar\u00e1 con sus equipos en estos cambios entre ahora y octubre, cuando se implementar\u00e1 la nueva estructura. El liderazgo de WESTAF y los gerentes de proyectos est\u00e1n comenzando el proceso de presupuesto para el a\u00f1o fiscal 2020. El primer borrador preliminar se compilar\u00e1 antes del 21 de junio para que el liderazgo pueda trabajar con sus equipos para realizar los ajustes necesarios para llegar a un borrador para compartir con el tesorero en agosto y el Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo en septiembre.<\/span><\/p>\n

Principios rectores<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

During the StratPlan Faire, Amy gave an all-team presentation on WESTAF\u2019s Performance Management process<\/span><\/a> <\/span>moving forward. We will have a rough budget by the end of June and will be able to nail down staff salaries at that time. Therefore, it makes more sense to hold off on the “transition” review process until August when that information is known. The staff will plan on conducting transitional reviews in mid to late August. This document<\/span><\/a> is the best outline of what will be covered in these meetings (which includes telling them their new salary, bonus and discuss changes to their job description), there are some purple updates since the StratPlan Faire. A custom document to sign during these reviews will be prepared, where the basics of the new performance management process is outlined along with individual compensation, and value of all benefits as an annual snapshot of total compensation.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cumbre de la Generaci\u00f3n Rural<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Chrissy Deal and I were joined by Hunter Old Elk (Cody, WY and ELC17) and Tey Marianna Nunn (former trustee and current MAC member) in Mississippi May 22-24 for the Cumbre de la Generaci\u00f3n Rural<\/span><\/a><\/span>. The convening brought together cultural and community leaders from across the country to explore the various identities, opportunities and realities of rural America. The WESTAF delegation had the opportunity to connect with folks from various organizations and communities from across the country, including NASAA, several of our fellow RAOs, other state arts agencies and national organizations. The “roving plenaries” format meant attendees had a chance to see and directly experience rural places, including Sipp Culture<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>y Hinds Community College Utica Campus<\/span><\/a>, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Utica, MS. We listened, we shared, we felt the humidity, we ATE! One of the considerations the conference brought into focus for the WESTAF contingent was the varied dimensions of the rural West. Chrissy looks forward to following up with new contacts and connecting with Tey and Hunter to help inform WESTAF’s engagement with rural communities in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

SAAPAD est\u00e1 en marcha.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Today (June 3) and Tomorrow (June 4), SAAPAD (our annual State Arts Agency and Performing Arts Consortia Professional Development Session) is meeting here in Denver. Here\u2019s the complete agenda<\/span><\/a> <\/span>for the convening. I will be heading down to the June 4 sessions to meet the participants, have lunch and thank them for their involvement.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pr\u00f3ximos viajes de SAA<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

As previously reported, in the coming months I will be meeting California Arts Council ED Anne Bown-Crawford at the Creative Placemaking Pacific Summit <\/span><\/a><\/span>in Los Angeles, and then presenting the following week, June 25, at the California Arts Council commission meeting near Sacramento. In July, I\u2019ll be heading to Honolulu to spend time with trustee Jonathan Johnson and to present to Hawaii’s SFCA board and attend further meetings, including FESTPAC<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>leadership. In August, I will be joining trustee Karen Hanan in Yakima and Tieton, WA to offer a presentation at an ArtsWA commissioners meeting. In addition, there is an Anchorage visit in development for August to coincide with the visit of Mary Anne Carter from the Endowment.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Actualizaci\u00f3n de Arizona<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

La semana pasada, la Legislatura del Estado de Arizona aprob\u00f3 un presupuesto de 11.800 millones de d\u00f3lares para el a\u00f1o fiscal 2020, que el gobernador Doug Ducey convirti\u00f3 en ley. ZAPP<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

ZAPP sigue funcionando con \u00e9xito y el volumen de transacciones comerciales sigue siendo alto. En lo que va del a\u00f1o fiscal, hemos adquirido 34 nuevos clientes, hemos procesado m\u00e1s de 300 renovaciones de contratos y hemos conseguido m\u00e1s de 75 env\u00edos masivos de correos electr\u00f3nicos. Casi 1.000.000 de TP4T han pasado por el proceso de pago de ZAPP (ventas directas) y se han presentado m\u00e1s de 125.000 solicitudes. Tambi\u00e9n hemos visto un aumento de 101.000 de TP4T desde el inicio del a\u00f1o fiscal 2019 en la cantidad de perfiles de artistas activos. Seguimos ofreciendo pagos EFT a un grupo selecto de clientes; estos pagos han totalizado casi 1.000.000 de TP4T este a\u00f1o fiscal. Si a\u00fan no se ha registrado para recibir pagos EFT y le gustar\u00eda hacerlo, inf\u00f3rmeme y lo organizar\u00e9 por usted. Por \u00faltimo, el equipo est\u00e1 evaluando la viabilidad de una integraci\u00f3n con Jaspersoft, una plataforma de informes y an\u00e1lisis. Este software nos permite crear, recuperar y presentar f\u00e1cilmente informes con los datos de ZAPP: informes y herramientas de inteligencia empresarial que pueden utilizarse interna y externamente para nuestros clientes. Una integraci\u00f3n con una plataforma como esta es m\u00e1s conveniente que crear nuestros propios informes desde cero debido a la escasez de recursos de desarrollo y el tiempo que puede llevar completar un proyecto de este tipo; sin embargo, todav\u00eda estamos sopesando los beneficios y el costo de esta integraci\u00f3n. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cristiano OOTO<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Como nota final, estar\u00e9 de vacaciones desde el jueves 13 de junio hasta el mi\u00e9rcoles 19 de junio, luego asistir\u00e9 a la Cumbre de CPL en Los \u00c1ngeles del 20 al 23 de junio, luego me dirigir\u00e9 a Sacramento la semana siguiente, antes de regresar a San Francisco el fin de semana siguiente para una boda.
