The meeting opened with a dinner at the historic Brown Palace Hotel that all WESTAF staff were invited to attend in order to build and deepen authentic relationships <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">between trustees and staff. The meeting also <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">included a gallery session, a \u201cscience fair\u201d-style gathering designed to strengthen trustee and staff connections as we move ahead with our 10-year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westaf.org\/westaf\/strategy\/\">strategic plan<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">During the hour-long session, trustees visited six separate tables representing WESTAF\u2019s departments and divisions, where they learned about each team\u2019s work priorities in a fun and friendly way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\"><b>Multikultureller Beirat f\u00fcr den \u00dcbergang zum Ausschuss f\u00fcr Gleichberechtigung und Inklusion<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">Ein weiteres einzigartiges Element der Vorstandssitzung im Oktober war ein \u00dcberblick und eine Anerkennung der Arbeit des Multicultural Advisory Committee von WESTAF in den letzten 20 Jahren. Die Ausschussvorsitzende und stellvertretende Vorstandsvorsitzende Teniqua Broughton orientierte die Treuh\u00e4nder \u00fcber mehrere wichtige Meilensteine auf dem Weg von WESTAF zu Vielfalt, Inklusion und Gleichberechtigung. Die Ausschussmitglieder Lucero Arellano, Tamara Alvarado, Teniqua Broughton, SuJ&#039;n Chon, Tony Garcia, Eric Hayashi, Kimberly Howard, Amir Jackson, Aaron Miles und Tey Marianna Nunn haben sich f\u00fcr diese Fortschritte eingesetzt und fungieren als wichtige Botschafter f\u00fcr die Bem\u00fchungen von WESTAF, einen gerechteren Kunst- und Kulturbereich zu schaffen. Im Jahr 2020 wird das Multicultural Advisory Committee (MAC) in das Equity and Inclusion Committee (EIC) \u00fcbergehen und weiterhin WESTAF dabei beraten, wie seine Programme und Abl\u00e4ufe am besten an diesen wichtigen Grunds\u00e4tzen ausgerichtet werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">Check out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westaf.org\/board-of-trustees-meeting-october-2019\/\">more photos<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">from the gallery session, board meeting, and MAC presentation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\"><b>GO Smart kooperiert mit South Arts beim Jazz Road-Programm<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">In early 2019, GO Smart partnered with WESTAF\u2019s sister regional arts organization South Arts as it began its inaugural <a href=\"https:\/\/jazzroad.southarts.org\/\">Jazz Road<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">program. Jazz Road facilitates support to American touring musicians, specifically in the jazz genre. GO Smart services were offered free of charge to South Arts to administer the grant application, run a panel review, and collect final reports. Thirty-one <a href=\"https:\/\/jazzroad.southarts.org\/touring-grants\/jazz-road-tours-grant-recipients\/\">artists<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">were granted nearly $360,000 in the initial round of funding, with the next cycle of touring support as well as a new initiative supporting residencies launching in early 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\"><b>2020 Advocacy-Fonds und Exekutivdirektoren-Forum<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">WESTAF\u2019s Alliances team is working on the launch of the fiscal year 2020 State Advocacy Funds program in the coming weeks and is planning the upcoming Executive Director Forum, which will take place this January in Reno. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">Each state in the <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">WESTAF <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">region is eligible to receive funds to support annual state-level advocacy activities. WESTAF also convenes the executive directors of the state arts agencies in the West through a forum each year to discuss issues in the field, share knowledge and practice, and consider ways to increase support for these agencies. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">Also in the works is a strategy for supporting federal advocacy activities in 2020, which will soon be announced to partners in western states.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\"><b>CaF\u00c9 ver\u00f6ffentlicht vereinfachte Preispl\u00e4ne<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">CaF\u00c9, WESTAF\u2019s <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">call for entry application management program for the arts, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">recently released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.callforentry.org\/how-it-works\/pricing\/\">two simple pricing plans<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">along with new add-on services, making it <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">even more budget-friendly for small and large arts organizations. CaF\u00c9\u2019s promotional email service continues to grow in popularity\u2014the add-on service sends an email to artists on behalf of the participating call, reaching an <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333333;\">audience of over 190,000 artists.
